Thai Style. Modern Convenience.
Rice Paddy Villa was designed to blend Thai architectural tradition with beauty, practicality and function, ensuring that attention to Thai elements would fuse with modern conveniences.

Traditional Thai Villa Design
Extensive use was made of traditional workmanship and materials. This Thai villa was constructed entirely by local villagers. The high, arching roof is finished in handmade, unglazed terracotta tiles - these help in keeping the vacation villa cool as they breathe freely, and evaporation after a rainfall helps reduce temperatures further. The cloisters around the house are supported by old pillars gleaned from ancient village houses where the owners had opted to build a new home in modern materials. Likewise, the hardwood floorboards throughout the villa have been smoothed by years of use in local village houses over the decades. These reclaimed, ancient components marry with modern elements to create a harmonious whole.
Villa Entrance
Accessing the property via its private road through the villa's woodlands, guests enter through the large, antique wooden front doors into the hallway. This is finished in handmade, hand-painted tiles. The eye is drawn straight ahead - out over the private swimming pool to the rice paddies and trees beyond.
Thai Dining and Living Room
This Thai villa has a large, hardwood floored dining room seating up to eight. It looks out onto the swimming pool to one side, and to the woodlands to the other. Adjoining the living room is a media room with a teak and cotton sofa, a large LED flat screen television, equipped with satellite channels, DVD and BluRay, and a surround sound stereo system. This room may either be opened onto the dining room or closed off entirely. To the other side of the entrance hall is an office and internet room.
Villa Kitchen
The holiday villa has a spacious, custom-built kitchen that is fully equipped, with a side by side refrigerator and freezer, built-in oven and microwave, a four plate induction hob, coffee plunger, blender, pestle and mortar, cutlery, plates, pots and pans etc. This opens out onto the wooden deck, as well as into the adjoining sala via an oversized pair of reclaimed, antique wooden doors.
Thai Sala
This external "sala" is a covered relaxation area, with barbecue and wok stations and al fresco seating. Above, a remote controlled fan stirs the air. The sala offers a retreat from the bright tropical sun and allows direct access to the pool, making it a perfect place to slumber during the day, or in which to dine or drink in the tropical evenings.
Thai Villa Bedrooms. Sleep well.
The rental villa has two hardwood floored bedrooms, each air-conditioned and boasting an oversized king bed with good quality cotton sheets, down pillows and crisp duvet. Each bedroom has its own en-suite shower and WC.
Private Swimming Pool. Refreshing. Enticing.
Outside, and affording shade from the tropical sun, a cloister runs around the villa, beyond which lies the negative edge private swimming pool and its sun decks. You may choose to bask in the sun under blue skies with dips in the refreshing pool, or to laze in the shade of the cloister or sala with a cool, freshly squeezed fruit juice.
